Control your personal thermostat at the office with these tips!
When it comes to your office, the temperature is always an issue. Sometimes your office is too hot, other times it’s too cold. Finding the perfect temperature can be difficult. Ensure that your work environment is comfortable and check out these tips to help you stay cool (or warm) in your office.
Fan your Head.
When it comes to staying cool, pointing a fan at your head can help to regulate your body’s temperature. The thinking behind the practice is that your head is accumulating heat while you work. A fan pointed at your head will help to disperse that heat.
Cool your Hands & Feet.
Try putting an ice pack under your bare feet or under your wrists. Cooling your extremities helps to lower your body temperature which keeps the rest of you feeling cool.
If you tend to get hot and cold, it’s a good idea to layer. That way you can bundle up if you get too cold, but you can also take off a layer or two if you get to warm.
Warm Up your Neck.
Your neck has lots of blood vessels. Since there’s greater blood flow in your neck, it’s a prime spot to help you warm up. Wrap a scarf around your neck or drape a heating pad around your neck.
Keep your Ears Warm.
You surprisingly lose lots of heat from your ears. Keep them covered if you’re feeling chilly. That you can warm up a bit. Try using a hat, ear muffs, or even a pair of headphones.
