Summer is a time for outdoor activities and BBQ’s. Hosting a BBQ for family and friends is an activity that is loved by all. Are you out of ideas for your BBQ? We have gathered some recipes that you can treat your family and friends to that are healthy and fun.
Margarita Chicken
Need: lime zest, lime juice, olive oil, tequila (optional), cilantro, garlic, chili powder, 6 to 8 chicken breasts (boneless and skinless).
Put everything in a zip lock bag, shake to combine, add chicken, put in fridge overnight. Heat grill, spray with non-stick spray, cook chicken 4 to 5 minutes, turn, cook 4 to 5 minutes more and serve.
Fruit Kabobs Grilled
Need: assorted fruit, bamboo skewers, yogurt, honey, and lime zest. Clean fruit, soak skewers, put fruit on skewers, and grill for 3 or 4 minutes turning so fruit doesn’t burn. Serve with dip.
Dip: mix yogurt honey and lime zest.
Grilled Asparagus
Need: Asparagus, olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice.
Trim and wash asparagus. Sprinkle olive oil on asparagus, season with salt, pepper, and squeeze lemon juice on. Mix and grill until done, turning when needed. This is an easy to make recipe that is healthy!
